Hi World. My name is Angad Singh and I am 11 years old. I live in Atlanta. I am a 6th grade student at NorthWestern Middle School. These are some of the memories from my summer 2005 Gurmat Camp at Akal Academy, BaRu Sahib in the Himalyan Mountains.
This is our mess where we ate most of our meals. The food was pretty simple and 100% vegetarian. I wish there were more fruits though. I strictly go by t he vegetarian food pyramid i.e 5 servings of fruit a day.
ps: Mess - A group of people, usually soldiers or sailors, who regularly eat meals together. Food or a meal served to such a group: took mess with the enlistees. A mess hall.

I am a peace worker and a filmmaker. My first film 'One Light' celebrates the oneness of humanity and aims to build a friendlier, peaceful world by building friendlier neighborhoods. I believe that if we each take a baby step towards a better world, together it will make a big difference. In the past year, 'One Light' has become an instrument to share the message of peace and youth activism towards peace at schools, youth conferences, film festivals and interfaith seminars.
